Lewis & Clark College Department of Music invites applications for the temporary position of Adjunct Orchestra Conducting Faculty, to begin Spring Semester 2020. Adjunct Faculty are expected to be responsible and responsive members of the music department.

What You'll Do

Conduct a 50-person orchestra ensemble.
The Orchestra rehearses twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:30-9 pm).
The Orchestra will perform in two concerts during the Spring Semester: a concerto performance, featuring winners of the Lewis & Clark concerto competition, on March 1st, and a choral-orchestral collaboration to be conducted by the Director of Choral Activities on April 26th

Must Haves

Master of Music or Arts required.
Proven record of orchestral conducting expertise.

Nice to Haves

Extensive performing and teaching experience.

Bending, standing, twisting, climbing stairs, sitting, walking, reaching, repetitive hand movements, seeing, talking, hearing

$5,100 per semester
