Position Summary:
The Program Director for Policy and Planning functions as a senior member of the management team and advances Home Forward's strategic priorities by managing the creation of thoughtful, user-friendly policy analysis and supporting long-term planning.

The Program Director for Policy and Planning (PDPP) will provide data and policy analysis, often in collaboration with Home Forward's team of program analysts. This will include federal, state and local affordable housing policy analysis to determine impacts to Home Forward and the community we serve. The position may represent Home Forward at policy-setting tables and help inform partners about our policies and positions on affordable housing-related matters. The PDPP will also lend support to our operating groups in the development and implementation planning for policy and strategic initiatives, and will provide policy recommendations to the Executive Team. The PDPP will oversee the development of Home Forward's annual Moving to Work (MTW) plan and annual MTW report. The position will support the development of new strategic plans and manage the ongoing reporting and data collection for these plans. The PDPP will create and present reports for our Board of Commissioners and the community.

Supervision Received and Exercised
Receives direction from the Executive Director.

Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in strategic planning, affordable housing, public policy, economics, or other related field. Five or more years of increasingly responsible managerial experience in organizational planning, general management, and policy development.
