ABOUT THE POSITION
Are you curious about what people really think about affordable housing, the future of transportation, or the increased partisanship in politics? Are you passionate about deepening your understanding of public policy, research, and your community? Does being a part of thoughtful, collaborative, and supportive team excite you? If so, we’d love for you to apply to join our team as an experienced Project Manager.
Like everyone on the DHM Research team, you’ll wear many hats as our new Project Manager. The position includes the design and implementation of research by coordinating with other staff members and vendors; working with clients to understand their research needs; work with policy advocates, communications firms, ballot measure campaigns, and government agencies to answer their research questions.
This full-time position includes a competitive salary and benefits package.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Health, dental, vision: Up to $500 covered for employees, buy-up options available
Retirement: 401K with a 4% match
Stipend: $100 monthly for transportation, phone, internet
Community: four hours of paid volunteer time per month

You are curious and appreciate growing through challenging work. You are passionate about your community and eager to direct research that leads to decisions and policies that better meet the needs of the people who are impacted by them. You have a background or interest in politics, policy, organizational decision making, psychology, research, proposal writing, technical writing and/or communications.
2-3 years of experience in research, public policy, and/or community engagement
Strong analytical writing skills
Confident presenter and public speaker
Collaborative and an effective communicator
Ability to coordinate multiple projects while paying close attention to details and timelines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Quantitative and/or qualitative experience
Public policy, political science experience
Related work or educational experiences
Lived experience of inequity/oppression and connections to marginalized communities
Bilingual and/or multicultural
