Position Summary:
All high school seniors and college students are welcome to apply for this internship. This is a paid internship.

This internship may be of special interest to a student interested in a career as an attorney, legal assistant, or paralegal or who is exploring careers in government/public service.

The Legal Intern will provide administrative support to legal assistants and paralegals in the Office of Metro Attorney.

This internship provides first-hand exposure to careers in the legal and public service fields. The goal of the internship is for students to gain a better understanding of various aspects of municipal law and legal concepts and processes. In addition, the Intern will learn about Metro's organization, structure and services as a regional government. High school seniors and post-high school students who are interested in law are encouraged to apply.

Duration: Requires a 200-hour commitment; June to August
Schedule: Flexible; 25+ hours per week; Monday - Friday

Minimum Requirements:
• Senior in high school or college level student with an interest in the law
• Good word processing (typing) skills
• Attention to detail
