CCC's Community Engagement Program is seeking a Mental Health and Addictions Counselor, QMHP!

The Community Engagement Program (CEP) is a multidisciplinary recovery model designed to meet the needs of chronically homeless individuals with co-occurring mental health, addiction disorders and/or physical concerns. The CEP Mental Health and Addictions Counselor, QMHP is a critical member of a multi-disciplinary team providing intensive case management and integrated dual diagnosis treatment. CADC required.

Duties will include:
Individual Counseling: Provide trauma-informed, individual counseling to clients regarding mental health symptom management, substance use, personal and situational stressors, relationships, suicide and other risk concerns utilizing psychoeducational and evidence-based counseling practices.
Participate in outreach activities necessary to offer services and engage participation in a non-coercive manner. Escort clients to meetings and appointments as necessary.
Assessment and Care Planning: Collect information regarding clients’ history through a combination of interviewing, records review, and consultation, after obtaining written consent.
Conduct and document substance use assessments, including mental status exam, ASAM level of care, DSM diagnosis, and clinical formulation.
Develop care plan with client. Monitor client progress and adjust their care plan as needed.
Risk Assessment, evaluation and mitigation: Provide crisis intervention which may include: counseling, supporting client with de-escalating, performing risk assessments, supporting with safety planning, and referring clients to the ED or other sub-acute facilities.

Master's degree in a behavioral science field and one year experience in mental health. Experience with severe mental illness (SMI) preferred.
At minimum, must meet state guidelines for QMHP and be licensed/certified with appropriate board.
Must have CADC I certification.
Must have current CPR certification
Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
Must become a certified Director’s Custody designee in Multnomah County within the first 6 months of hire.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit. The OAR prohibits A&D program staff from having within the previous 3 years a DUI conviction or diversion, a felony conviction, or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
Must possess a current driver’s license, access to a vehicle, qualify as an Acceptable Driver as designated in Central City Concern’s Fleet Safety policy. Must pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training. Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 personal auto liability coverage.
