Admissions Leads guide the activities of the admissions staff (Ushers, Gate Attendants, Elevator Operators, Checkroom Attendants) during events at Portland'5 Centers for the Arts.
Position makes staff shift position assignments; provides direction of staff duties; monitors crowds and resolves patron safety and service issues during events including ingress, egress and seating; confirms timekeeping information for labor billing; takes souvenir inventories and other documentation required in the performance of duties.
This position works under the direction of a House Manager or Event Manager at Portland'5 Centers for the Arts and Oregon Convention Centers. This position reports to the Admissions Staffing Manager.
Part-time shifts are event-driven and vary in location and times of day/days of the week and will be scheduled based on frequency of events and labor workforce needs of the events at the facilities.

• Minimum of one year of responsible supervisory or lead experience, and customer service experience as it relates to event management.
• High School Diploma or GED or any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.
Requires the ability to perform physical aspects of the position including the ability to tolerate walking and standing for long periods of time and walking long distances; and ability to climb ramps and stairs. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. Requires ability to work a variety of shifts: weekdays, week nights and weekends, including evenings and holidays. Preference will be given to candidates with daytime and weekend availability.
