The Social Media Specialist is primarily responsible for implementation of Neil Kelly Company’s social media strategy. Primary responsibilities include sourcing, developing and publishing social media content and engaging effectively with target audiences, partners and influencers via social media and online rating/review platforms in support of Neil Kelly’s overall marketing and business goals.

This is a 32 hour per week part-time position; structured as either four 8-hour days or five 6-to-7-hour days within business hours (M-F, 7am – 5pm.) There may be occasional need for additional hours, including evening or weekend work.

What you need to be a successful Social Media Specialist at Neil Kelly Co.:

Bachelor’s degree or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of professional social media publishing/engagement experience working as part of a marketing team in an agency or corporate setting.
Experience in the remodeling or interior design industry, and/or supporting a premium consumer brand is a plus.
Highly organized, ability to manage several projects at once over several seasons.
Strong interpersonal skills, positive, energetic and team oriented.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing platforms, WordPress CMS and other toolsets required for business communication and content production.
Proficient with use of major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube, as well as social media publishing and monitoring tools such as Sprout Social.
Experience with Houzz is a plus.
Proficient with use of major rating/review platforms including Google and Yelp.
Experience with online reputation monitoring/management tools is a plus.
Excellent project management, social media publishing and engagement, visual/written content development, communication and presentation skills.
Strong self-management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work as a member of a team.
Proficiency in graphic programs including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with website programs and other electronic media; writing, proofing, and editing written material; organization and deadline management.

As the Social Media Specialist at Neil Kelly Co, you will be:

Responsible for understanding Neil Kelly Company’s brand, industry, services, local markets, and target audiences, and the role of social media across the marketing mix.
Working with the Marketing Director, Media Manager and Content Manager to develop an effective social media marketing plan that supports overall marketing goals and objectives.
Serving as the company’s social media marketing lead: must be comfortable presenting and explaining social media strategies, tactics and tools to company leadership and internal stakeholders.
Establishing and implementing an organic distribution strategy and manage relationships with distribution vendors (Facebook, Instagram, Houzz, Pinterest, etc.)
Setting goals, summarizing results and implementing tracking solutions for both short term and long-term social media marketing strategies.
Developing and delivering a consistent flow of content that is engaging, on-topic and in-line with brand guidelines.
Building and growing brand conversations across various social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Houzz, Pinterest, LinkedIn and other platforms as defined by strategy.
Supporting Neil Kelly Company’s online reputation by monitoring and responding appropriately to ratings and reviews on platforms including Google, Houzz, BBB, and Yelp.
Managing and protecting brand perceptions online through active listening and appropriate escalation.
Routing requests and issues to sales, client service and leadership decision makers as appropriate
Developing and sharing best practices with internal stakeholders. Build strategies to better leverage and orchestrate individual consultant and partner-brand social media efforts with Neil Kelly Corporate social media program.
Staying abreast of new social media and content marketing trends and integrate them into strategy.
Monitoring industry and competitive landscape and communicate essential industry news and trends to marketing team and partners
Contributing to marketing initiatives in partnership with other Marketing Department team members. Working with others in the Marketing Department to develop and maintain brand strength and consistency and to meet the company’s goals.
Maintaining regular communication and coordination with other Marketing Department staff members, and participate in weekly Marketing Department meetings and other meetings as required.
Working with Media Manager to coordinate organic social media and paid social media advertising strategies, activities and content.
Working with Content Manager to coordinate organic social media with overall content marketing strategies, activities and content, and to collaborate on content sourcing and development
Assisting the Marketing Director with tracking and reporting of social media marketing and online reputation activities and outcomes
Providing support for company meetings, individual marketing seminars, tradeshows and home tours.

$26-$30/hr DOE + Benefits
