CCC’s is looking for an Accountant to support Housing & Development!
This position supports the accurate reporting of housing and housing development accounting transactions, working with program staff to ensure the accuracy of general ledger transactions and reporting. The position is a key contributor to the month-end closing process, preparing month end journal entries, including allocations. Strong analytical, technology, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Duties will include:
Performs monthly variance reviews for housing, including research, job cost analysis; produces reports for and communicates with internal customers.
Updates and analyzes month-end schedules for housing properties, including as assigned. Generates accounting reports for outside partners and the internal Housing Management Report.
Runs Building & Program Vacancy Loss report and record the data via upload to MIP monthly. Communicate any errors observed in Yardi to the Housing Revenue Manager & System Administrator.
Reconciles housing accounts monthly as assigned, including the due to/from accounts.
Reviews the weekly check run for accuracy prior to payment, comparing vendor information and check/EFT amounts to invoices prior to payment.
Performs the monthly reconciliation of the balances in Yardi to MIP monthly. Investigates differences and prepares adjusting journal entries as needed.
Supports the Senior Accountant, Housing & Development with the annual limited partnership tax returns and preparation of annual department budgets for Housing and Supportive Housing.
Bachelor of Science or Arts in accounting or a related field, or an associate degree in accounting (or related field).
Five years of relevant accounting experience required.
Competency in Microsoft Office, including Advanced Excel skills. Excellent computer skills.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.
