Senior Security Technician (R-19-0932)
As the Senior Security Technician on PGE’s Security team, you’ll promote corporate resiliency by protecting the organization's employees and physical assets through security policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with government guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor PGE offsite location alarms and dispatches PGE personnel, Mobile Security and/or emergency personnel to deter, detect, delay and respond to intrusion or other physical security threats. May troubleshoot unusual or uncommon situations. Uses CIP tools and procedures to analyze systems, detect, and interdict efforts to compromise or disrupt PGE operations. Escalate potential threats.
Prepare written documentation, reports and evidence. May provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
Revoke and remove physical access to meet regulatory requirements in accordance with information provided. Interact with Corporate Security CIP team to provide information to assure that security requirements are being met and to receive updates on CIP requirements. Recommend new procedures or processes to comply with new requirements. May analyze new or changed requirements and propose new procedures.
Perform electronic and physical CIP checks of security hardware. As assigned, supports efforts to maintain or improve the operation and reliability of PGE’s physical security systems. Perform routine and nonroutine maintenance and programming of the security management system and physical security equipment. May troubleshoot and resolve issues. Collaborates with Cyber security and with IT.
The successful candidate will have four or more years of applicable experience in corporate or government security, including alarm monitoring, or related field. High School diploma or successful completion of General Education Development (GED) test is required.
