The District Attorney's Administrative Manager will work with the District Attorney to manage, coordinate, and plan diverse department-specific administrative functions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your exceptional management and interpersonal skills to build relationships within all programs of the DA's Office; and collaborate on creating and enhancing policies and procedures both within the DA's Office and with criminal justice system partner agencies. The Administrative Manager will coordinate the preparation of the annual budget; oversee facilities, information technology and management information systems planning, grants, contracts, and departmental purchasing. Additional responsibilities will include hiring and managing supervisory, professional, technical and clerical staff for the department, as well as the managing personnel issues such as discipline, staffing and recruitment.
The successful candidate will be someone with sound knowledge and judgment related to the principles of public service and government finance, exceptional leadership skills, and have an inclusive management style. Criminal justice system or law firm experience is preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, finance, or a closely related field; AND
At least five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative, management, intergovernmental, operations, budgetary and similar analysis that includes at least three (3) or more years of professional level supervisory experience.
