The Water Resource Recovery Operations & Services Department is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. This position performs a variety of skilled electrical and instrumentation work. Installs, modifies, repairs, calibrates, and maintains electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment and instruments to maximize the efficiency of the treatment plants and pump stations.
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledges, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required KSAs would be:
- Responsible experience in installing, modifying, repairing, and servicing instrumentation, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic instruments, industrial electrical and electronic systems including repairing, testing, and troubleshooting energized and de-energized electrical components; and
- Training in electrical, instrument technology, electronics technology, or related fields.
Certification and Licensure:
- Upon selection, candidate must possess and maintain a valid State issued driver's license.
- Must possess a State of Oregon Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician License or higher level at time of appointment.
