This is an internal and a First Opportunity recruitment opportunity. We are only accepting applications from 1) current employees and/or 2) residents who live within the First Opportunity Target Area (FOTA) and meet the qualifying annual household income limit. Internal applicants must be current employees of Metro having regular, regular part-time or temporary employment.

One position is available. Shift assignments are based on seniority and has potential to change every 6 months due to shift bidding, per bargain agreement (Example: an employee may start out on Day Shift, but can end up on a different shift as a result).

The Facility Security Agent provides physical security, safety services and customer service at the Oregon Convention Center and other Metro Visitor Venues, including the Portland'5 Centers for the Performing Arts and the Expo Center.

High school diploma or GED, and one year of responsible experience in providing security for a large facility; or any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. This position requires the possession of (or the ability to obtain upon hire):

• Security certification and/or DPSST certification from the State of Oregon
• Unconcealed weapons permit
• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
• Valid driver's license.
