Native Plant Center Assistant, Variable Hour

Pay: $15.50 per hour

This position will support the Native Plant Center's (NPC) Seed Conservation Program by assisting staff with the harvest and cleaning of prairie and understory species seed from both amplification beds located at the NPC and at Metro field sites.

They will perform and coordinate maintenance of production beds, greenhouse and seed cleaning facility, bulb harvest and raised bed construction. Support the Oak and Prairie Seed Conservation Project and perform general production tasks as assigned.

Duration: This position is expected to be in place from mid-June or early July to November 2019
Schedule: 32 hours per week, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Tuesday-Friday (daily start/end times negotiable)

• Possession of a current valid driver's license
• Preferred: sufficient experience or training in basic grounds and/or maintenance
