Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a customer oriented, high-performing Manager to lead the Financial Solutions Technology team. This position requires knowledge of finance and accounting business processes and systems. This position will be a key liaison between business partners and technology teams responsible for providing functional and ongoing business support. The Manager will have responsibility for all domains within the Record to Report function.
Success in this role requires business engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively, build relationships and influence outcomes in a cross-functional matrix organization. Qualified candidates must possess the ability to translate abstract concepts into defined objectives and the proven ability to drive for results. •Establish collaborative and productive relationships with internal GIS department, business partners, external partners
•Leverage knowledge of finance and accounting best practices and functional design to ensure team delivers robust, future ready capabilities
•Assess the business impact of different solutions and the trade-offs between customer needs, technology requirements and costs
•Own, prioritize and facilitate the refinement of our product backlog to ensure that the team is delivering the right enhancements at the right time to drive business value.
•Technology thought leadership – technology evangelist, promoting our business strategies and advancing our technology capabilities through knowledge of best practice with customer focus
•Demonstrate functional and industry practices experience and leverage these to promote our technology capabilities
•Provide transparent/honest status and communication to business stakeholders and leadership
•Manage, mentor, and inspire a team; managing performance, goals and development potential
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant business experience
•10+ years of IT experience required with at least 3 years leading teams implementing/supporting business and systems processes
•Prior experience in SAP is highly desirable
•Strong understanding and experience in project management methodologies
•Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve both process and people related issues
•Excellent collaboration and relationship management
•Experience resolving issues with higher levels of management
•Experience leading cross-functional work
•Experience working in agile environments
