The Mental Health Clinician provides behavioral health services including therapy, case management, and care coordination to individuals at the Luke Dorf East Clinic. The Mental Health Clinician is response for developing, implementing and monitoring services to individuals based on their individual goals and medical necessity. Mental Health Clinician will utilize evidenced based practices to provided treatment to individual with a variety of mental health diagnosis and needs, including, but not limited to: schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment disorder and dually diagnosed individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders. Focus of this position will include stabilization in the community, ensuring consumers have access to services that support their overall wellness, advocating that individual rights and dignities be upheld, empowering individuals to achieve their individual goals, and ensuring folks are able to move towards increased independence.
Ideal applicant will have knowledge of evidence-based practices, the DSM, community mental health system and dual diagnosis population. Applicants will demonstrate an enthusiasm for advocating for underserved and vulnerable population through advocacy, care coordination, behavioral health counseling and case management. Positive attitude, organization, and ability to work as a team are required traits, as well as being a self-starter and comfort in working within the complicated community mental health system and with a diverse range of consumer needs.
