IT Application Developer / Sr. Application Developer - .Net/ C# / Python (R18-425)

The IT Application Developer Analyst performs design, development, maintenance tasks, analysis, problem determination and application/system administration tasks related to IT applications. The Application Support Analyst usually is self-directed but collaborates with other members within their team.

This position provides support to our Generation, Transmission and Distribution departments and other PGE users throughout the company. In this role, the developer will work with the team to enhance, support and maintain the application suite (ESRI ArcGIS, ArcServer, ArcFM applications). The developer will follow the teams programming standards for design, testing, implementation and support. In this position developer will perform hands-on software development using C#, Microsoft .Net, Python and other programming tools. The developer will also perform database modeling and optimization using the ArcSDE Oracle application.

Experience and Skills Requirements

• Typically a Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience in related discipline
• Demonstrated familiarity with IT software development, web and cloud projects and engineering practices
• Identify and effectively remove obstacles impeding team progress
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills – application and database
• Coding and analytic skills
• Require knowledge of languages such as .Net, C#, C++, python; Source Control such as GIT, Continuous Integration such as Jenkins, REST or SOAP based web services
• Familiarity with using, writing and troubleshooting Oracle and SQL queries
• Testing and QA skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Desired additional skills
• Experience in use and administration of ArcGIS and ArcFM applications in an enterprise environment, GIS data processing
• DataStage, DataPower, messaging services such as MQ, database skills, Business Process Modeler, Angular, EC2, S3, Lambda
• Facilitate continuous improvement

PGE is a regional provider of electric power. May be required to travel within the PGE service area and to its generation facilities. Valid driver's license is required.
