Job Purpose
The Research & Instruction Librarian assists students and faculty with research, including providing reference service, research consultations, and related services. Teach course integrated classes on using library resources for a variety of departments, courses, and programs. Serves as a liaison and participates in collection development for a variety of academic departments and programs, participates in library committee work and special projects, evaluates and maintains sections of the library web site as assigned. This is a temporary, 30 hour position expected to last from January 16, 2020 to April 30, 2020.
This job will be open until filled.
What You'll Do
Provide reference and related research services at the library service desk
Teach course-integrated classes on using library resources for a variety of departments, courses, and programs.
Serve as library liaison to several academic departments, manage collection development for these departments, and evaluate and maintain related sections of the library web site.
Participate in library committee work and special projects as assigned
Must Haves
Master's of Library and/or Information Science
1 year of library public services experience
Nice to Haves
2 years of library public service experience
Work Schedule
30 hours per week

$25 per hour
Physical Requirements
The job works primarily at a desk or is otherwise involved in activities requiring little lifting, climbing or working in tiring positions
