Hi, I’m Brittni Beers-Branco, VP of People at Puppet,
I’m looking for a Director of Operations & Rewards to join my leadership team. In this role, you will lead a team focused on administering benefits, compensation, HR systems and analytics, as well as directly providing project management for people programs. This is both a hands-on and leadership role, so if you are someone who thrives in both detail work and the responsibility of leading a team, I’d love to have you join us at Puppet.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a big impact in formulating our total rewards philosophy, assessing it against our current rewards positioning, and communicating it boldly. This is where the fun comes in, to pull the right rewards levers to make a highly impactful package that attracts awesome people to join our team and keeps our amazing talent! And it doesn’t stop there, as the Director of Operations & Rewards, you will lead HR operations to better leverage the use of our current HR systems and analytics to strategically support our people and the business, maximize organizational effectiveness in people processes and experiences. You’ll have your hand in the global People Programs as the program manager working in close alignment with people team colleagues to include performance feedback, salary planning, employee engagement survey, and talent reviews.
At Puppet, the Operations and Rewards team plays a central role in enabling an amazing employee experience. Making sure we are staying out in front of our compensation and benefits offerings, creating simple process when setting goals and providing feedback, as well as gathering feedback through our engagement survey. Meaningful work you’ll contribute:
Guide, nurture, and develop an extraordinary team of three operation, compensation and benefits team members, aligning their work to the goals of Puppet and the People team.
Formulate the global total rewards strategy, assessing against current rewards positioning, communicating the value and oversee the ongoing administration.
Own, improve, and administer current HR systems as well as identify new systems that increase automation, employee experience and effectiveness of the People team and Puppet.
Lead the overall project plan, systems, and tools for People processes to include salary planning, performance feedback, talent reviews, and engagement surveys.
Manage the overall People team strategy, priorities and metrics as well as organizational analytics and insights.

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet
Deep technical expertise in core HR systems, reporting and analytics. Preferably experience in Ultimate Software and Business Intelligence reporting tools
Expert in analyzing data, identify trends, issues and opportunities and build into a business case with recommendations
Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits and total rewards and best practices in creating a total rewards philosophy
Strong leadership experience, managing teams of experts with narrow focus
Strong global perspective and experience working with global teams
Program and project management skills
Strong understanding of People Processes, workflows and manager and employee experience in People processes (Salary Planning, Performance Feedback, Goal setting, Talent Planning, and Engagement Surveys)
