If so, and you have the track record to prove it, we invite you to learn more about this challenging role. As the HVAC Program Supervisor you will:
Lead and supervise the HVAC Engineer team to include:
Provide coaching, mentoring and career planning.
Model accountable communication, inclusive decision-making, and positive relationship-building.
Create a supportive work environment that encourages for employees.
Recruit and implement constructive disciplinary procedures as needed.
Participate in budget preparation and administration; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations and submit justification requests; monitor and control expenditures.
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of staff involved in building operations and maintenance with primary focus on predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance projects.
Develop, recommend, and assist in implementation of policies, procedures, and goal objectives.
Monitor trends, and generate reports which assist other sections in establishing goals and direction for building upgrades and operational improvements.
Evaluate program and operations and activities of assigned areas, recommend improvements and modifications.
About Us: The Facilities and Property Management Division (FPM) manages over 3.1 million square feet (within 133 buildings) of owned and leased building space necessary for the efficient, safe and effective delivery of programs and services to the residents of Multnomah County. The quality of these services directly affect the functions that are performed by nearly 6,000 County employees serving the general public and partner agencies co-located within the County's real estate portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, project management, or a related field is preferred.
Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in facilities and property management or construction project management, including three (3) years of management or supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience analyzing difficult and complex program, administrative, project, operational, and organizational objectives and issues in the evaluation of alternatives and reaching sound, logical, fact-based conclusions and recommendations
Demonstrated knowledge & experience applying the principles & practices of effective human resource management & labor contract provisions.
Demonstrated knowledge & experience applying the principles & practices of effective budget development, and administration.
Demonstrated knowledge & experience applying the principles & practices of effective project management
Demonstrated knowledge & experience in contract administration to include scope development, performance measurement, costing, & quality assurance
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license.
Candidates must be able to pass a criminal records check.

Related public sector experience
Commercial facilities experience
Experience with Siemens and/or similar automated energy control systems

Type of Position: This salaried management position is not eligible overtime.
Location: 401 N Dixon St. Portland, OR 97227
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. There is some flexibility with the start and end times and a possibility of a 9/80 schedule.
