Jerry Walker

Oregon State Treasury, Chief Information Officer

Jerry Walker serves as the Chief Information Officer at Oregon State Treasury, where he sets strategic direction for information technology and security services that support the state’s banking and financial operations. Previously, Jerry was the Director of Information Technology for the City of St. Louis Treasurer’s Office, through which he implemented technological solutions to enhance city services and transparency. In all of his professional roles, Jerry serves as a strategic leader, business partner, infrastructure architect, and cyber-security advocate, enabling organizations to move from being technology averse to technology champions. He earned his Master’s of Information and Communication Science in 1999 and his Bachelor's in Telecommunications in 1998 from Ball State University. He is extensively involved in building the next generation of leaders and is committed to creating opportunities for underrepresented people in technology through mentorship, volunteer service, and numerous board memberships.
