Do you care about the wellbeing of kids in your community? CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, trains volunteers to speak up for abused, neglected, and abandoned children who are involved in our overburdened child welfare system, where children of color, LGBTQ youth, and kids of other minority populations are disproportionately represented. CASAs ensure that these children have a voice in court, their needs are met, and they are placed as quickly as possible into safe, permanent homes. Become a CASA and make a lasting difference in the life of a vulnerable child. Visit www.casahelpskids.org/orientations to register for orientation, or contact Susan King, sking@casahelpskids.org for more information.
