The Say Hey! event series honors professionals of color who have recently relocated to Oregon or Southwest Washington and helps them connect with our region's multicultural community. This quarterly event brings together business and public sector leaders, community organization representatives, and other individuals to help make Honorees feel welcome and more immersed in their new community. Everyone is welcome to attend Say Hey!
Are you a professional of color who has relocated to Oregon or Southwest Washington since January 2016? Do you know, or have you recently hired someone who fits this description? Encourage them to sign up as a Say Hey! Honoree.
Goody bags are a great way for organizations to share brochures, job announcements, event notices, membership forms, promotional items, discount coupons, complimentary passes and "fun stuff" with a diverse network of community leaders, private and public sector employers, and new and seasoned professionals of color. These bags are handed out to Say Hey! guests as they leave the event. If you are interested in donating, please mail or deliver 250 of the same item to Relay Resources (formerly the Portland Habilitation Center) at 5414 NE 148th Ave, Bay Door 5, Portland, Oregon 97230-3438, Attn: Scott Akimoto/Say Hey! between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Deadline for arrival is Tuesday, May 2nd.
