Our 2020 workforce retention study found that professionals of color often face challenges finding community and connection in the workplace. In response, Partners in Diversity created Professional Resource Groups—affinity spaces that bring people together to build relationships, discuss relevant issues, and learn from one other.
Each PRG centers the lived experiences of a specific community while supporting professional growth and belonging.
Our Professional Resource Groups are:
Participants gain deeper understanding of issues affecting their communities, expand their professional networks, and engage in programming that supports both personal and professional development.
Previous topics and experiences include:
PRGs are open to any professionals who identify within the community each group represents. Participants may join more than on PRGs if they identify with multiple communities. PRGs are community-based and open beyond member organizations, though organizational membership is encouraged to support this work.
Each PRG has two co-chairs who are community leaders that volunteer their time to help plan and execute PRG events.
