Serena Stoudamire Wesley is an Assistant Director at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and a first-generation Oregonian deeply rooted to her community. With over 20 years of experience in public service, community engagement, and equity, Serena is known for her leadership, passion, and ability to drive meaningful change. She has a proven track record of building, directing, and sustaining impactful programs throughout the Portland/Salem metro areas.
Serena’s career spans various leadership roles, including her most recent position as Director of Community Engagement and Impact at Portland General Electric. Her work has consistently centered around public relations, community engagement, and equity initiatives. Previously, Serena served as the Deputy Director and Chief Program Officer at the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care, as well as the first Chief Cultural Change Officer for the Oregon Department of Administrative Services. Additionally, she was the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Governor Kate Brown.
With expertise in program sustainability and resource management, Serena has successfully led nonprofit and government organizations and continues to drive measurable outcomes and fostering positive change. Her commitment to her community extends to her role as a commissioner on the Board of Prosper Portland. Serena holds a BS in Healthcare Administration from Concordia University and continues to be a force for equity and community-driven progress in Oregon.
