Event: Cascade Festival of African Films

Billed as the longest-running nonprofit African film festival in America, Portland’s free Cascade Festival of African Films has celebrated African achievements and hopes for the future since 1991. The month-long film festival shares stories of Africa as told by Africans. The films celebrate Africa’s achievements, expose its failures, and reveal possibilities for a hopeful future. The Cascade Festival of African Films will be held virtually in 2022 with a limited number of in-person screenings. Please visit the Cascade Festival of African Films for current information.
