This year’s Building Bridges of Understanding in Our Communities Summit is October 26, 2023 at the Muslim Educational Trust (MET). The theme is Confronting Bias Through Justice and Healing.
Since 2016, Building Bridges has brought representatives of public safety, government, faith and civil society together to break down barriers, strengthen the bonds of trust, understand and respond to systematic racial and ethnic disparities for the benefit of the community. This year, in addition to panels and table discussions about state collected data on hate crimes and incidents, we are exploring community responses, a case prosecution, and experiences of students with bias motivated incidents in the school setting.

Are a law enforcement professional who seeks to understand the community perspective and improve the provision of public safety services.
