We think Portland is amazing. We love it; it’s our home. We believe its future will be better than its past. This is why we’ve been working on a campaign born of this sentiment, meant to motivate and inspire pride in Portland. But it’s not an advertising campaign—it’s a call to action, a start, a grassroots effort. And we need more people who love this city to be part of it.
The idea, Portland Is What We Make It, is about investing in culture, beautifying the city, engaging the community, and celebrating all the things that make Portland such a special place. And we need you: members of the community, business owners, activists, artists, makers, entrepreneurs. Please join us on Thursday, September 7, at Wieden+Kennedy for our kickoff event. We’ll share more about the idea and offer different ways to become part of it.
Doors open for First Thursday at 6pm. Please feel free to bring anyone else from the community that you think would want to learn more about the initiative. We’ll see you there.
