I moved to the United States to find better opportunities in filmmaking. I have always loved stories, both reading and visualizing them, which inspired me to pursue a film career. Although I faced social challenges, I embraced this journey. I wanted a formal education in filmmaking, but my home country lacks schools that offer such programs. I found the right program at Portland Community College that aligns with my interests. I am currently working toward an associate degree at Portland Community College, studying general education, visual storytelling, communications, and digital media.
What I truly need from the community right now is support in fostering a collaborative environment for everyone. I believe that sharing diverse perspectives can inspire change and promote understanding, and having a strong network of colleagues is essential. By connecting with others who are equally passionate about their skill, I hope to learn from their experiences and share my own. This sense of community will not only help me grow as a filmmaker but also empower all of us to tackle important stories together, ultimately enhancing our impact on the issues we care about most.
I am passionate about making civic connections that empower and inspire the next generation, particularly in the fields of conservation, research, and social issues. As I pursue my associate degree at Portland Community College, I am developing my skills in visual storytelling and digital media while actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with peers and professors. I believe in building a supportive community where knowledge is shared and creativity is encouraged. My goal is to inspire others to embark on their own creative journeys. Through these connections, I aim to make a positive impact on the community and elevate the voices of its members.
