I moved here because of the job opportunities available here for workers with my skill sets. I stayed because of the quality of life and the opportunity to make meaningful impacts in this community through my work and development.
I want to see more cohesion among the community partners. Information silos inhibit the ability of the community as a whole to grow. Everyone wants to protect their resources by being busy and engaged. I think the acknowledgement is that we are all working toward similar goals, and building collaboratively is the thing I want to see from the community more.
I want to connect with businesses to help them assess whether working in the government realm is an opportunity that they have interest in and can tackle in a sustainable way. I also want to connect with community partners to ensure that my efforts complement their own in ways that uplift our population and bring prosperity to our diverse communities.
