I moved to Portland in January 2026 to expand my work in storytelling and community building, and I will begin my graduate studies in Global Management in Fall 2026. As a journalist and co-founder of Women Stories Network, I’m passionate about amplifying women’s voices and creating spaces where stories connect people across cultures and experiences. Portland stood out to me for its creative energy, strong sense of community, and openness to diverse perspectives. It’s a city where storytelling feels alive in conversations, in art, in community spaces and where people genuinely value authenticity and connection. That really resonated with me, both personally and professionally. I was drawn to the idea of being in a place where I could continue building meaningful initiatives while also learning from a wide range of voices and experiences. I see Portland not just as a place to grow, but as a community I can contribute to—by creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and connected through their stories.
What I’m looking for most right now is a sense of meaningful connection and community, especially as I continue building both my life and my work in a new city. Moving to Portland has been an exciting transition, but building something intentional always requires people, collaboration, and shared energy. As a co-founder working at the intersection of storytelling, media, and social impact, I value being part of a community that is open, inclusive, and willing to engage beyond surface-level interactions. I’m looking for spaces where people are not only supportive, but also curious, collaborative, and driven to create meaningful change. More specifically, I’m hoping to connect with individuals and organizations who believe in the power of storytelling as a tool for impact, whether that’s amplifying underrepresented voices, building bridges across cultures, or creating opportunities for others to be seen and heard. I believe that strong communities are built through shared purpose, and I’m excited to both learn from and contribute to a network of people who are committed to growth, creativity, and social impact. Ultimately, I’m looking for a community where I can both contribute and belong, where ideas can turn into action, and where collaboration leads to something greater than what we could build alone.
I’m interested in building civic connections that go beyond networking and lead to meaningful collaboration and impact. My work has always centered around storytelling as a tool for connection, representation, and social change, so I’m especially drawn to individuals and organizations that are actively working to strengthen communities in inclusive and creative ways. I would love to connect with local nonprofits, community leaders, cultural organizations, and media platforms that are focused on social impact, particularly those working in women’s empowerment, youth development, and cross-cultural engagement. I’m also interested in engaging with initiatives that create spaces for dialogue, storytelling, and community-building, where diverse voices are not only included but truly valued. As a co-founder of Women Stories Network, I’m passionate about building platforms that bring people together through shared experiences and narratives. I’m eager to collaborate with partners who believe in the power of stories to bridge gaps, challenge perspectives, and inspire change. Whether that’s through events, campaigns, or creative projects, I’m interested in co-creating opportunities that amplify voices and foster a stronger sense of belonging. Ultimately, I’m looking to build civic connections with people and organizations who are intentional about making a difference, those who are not only committed to their work, but also to uplifting others and contributing to a more connected, inclusive, and impactful community.
