I moved back to the Portland metro area as this is my home city and I wanted to be closer to family. I lived away for over 10 years, my first niece was just born and my sister moved back home from Australia. It was time. I recently lost my job with USAID, which further prompted me to be closer to my community and loved ones. I hope to find community and professional opportuntiies here!
I am seeking community and connection (both personally and professionally) from PDX at this moment. I recently lost my job and so did my husband. We are new to the Portland area and want to create new friends, professional networks and hope to feel "seen" and "heard" during this tough time.
I hope to make connections that offer me opportunities for part-time work, full-time work, volunteering, hobbies! I am in need of many different types of communities right now and it would be great to be surrounded by love, support and kind residents of the greater PDX area! I hope to be in Portland for a long time, and hope to discover new businesses, people and communities that exist here that I was not aware of earlier. My friend Yuuki was nominated as an honoree when she moved to PDX and she suggested that i join this amazing community. I look forward to being a part of Say Hey!
