The mission of the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts is to foster joy, connection, and understanding in their diverse community through artistic, cultural, educational, and entertainment opportunities for all. This mission is aligned with the work of Partners in Diversity. Investing in opportunities for connection and belonging is central to why The Reser exists.
The arts have the ability to bring people together across backgrounds and experiences. The Reser strives to be a place where diverse cultures, identities, and stories are celebrated and championed. Every day, the building comes alive with performances, exhibitions, and classes that invite people to connect with one another in meaningful ways. They are proud to partner with organizations that are helping to build a more welcoming, inclusive, and connected region.
The arts have a remarkable ability to create empathy. A powerful play, concert, dance performance, or visual artwork invites viewers to experience another person’s perspective, even if only for a moment. That experience can spark understanding, which leads to curiosity, and over time, curiosity becomes trust.
The arts also create belonging by giving people the opportunity to see themselves reflected on stage and in The Reser’s gallery. When a local cultural organization or community group performs at The Reser, they are not simply renting a venue. They are being recognized and celebrated. Performing in a beautiful, world-class arts center sends a powerful message: you matter. That visibility and respect strengthen that entire community.
This coming year, The Reser will celebrate its fifth anniversary. In just five years, they have welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests and presented artists from around the world, and they are looking forward to celebrating that milestone with an extraordinary season featuring artists from around the globe.
Their upcoming lineup includes acclaimed Guatemalan singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno, the internationally renowned Hung Dance from Taiwan, the eclectic Korean ensemble Sangjaru, and Seffarine, whose program celebrates the rich musical traditions of Morocco, among others. These artists represent their commitment to presenting exceptional work that connects audiences with cultures from around the globe.
They are also excited to launch their first stand-up night this fall, expanding the kinds of experiences they offer their community. In the spring, they will celebrate their fifth anniversary with a series of special events.

At The Reser, some of our strongest relationships have grown from simply listening carefully to our audiences, renters, and community partners. Whether someone is requesting a particular artist, suggesting a new program, or asking for an accommodation that makes their event more successful, our team works hard to find solutions whenever possible. Even when we can’t say yes to every request, we collaborate to find alternatives that demonstrate humility, care and respect.
Those moments of listening and partnership build trust over time.”
Many people know The Reser as a beautiful performance venue, but they are much more than a stage. Throughout the year, they offer classes, free artist talks, and visual art exhibitions.
The Reser is also committed to making the arts accessible through a wide variety of free community events, ensuring that everyone has opportunities. They are a community gathering place as much as a performing arts center.
