Professional Resource Groups (PRGs)

Program Details

Our 2020 workforce retention study showed that it’s often challenging for professionals of color to find their community. In response, we created four Professional Resource Groups, affinity spaces to bring people together to network, discuss current issues relevant to specific communities, and learn from each other. The four Professional Resource Groups are:

  • Asian and Pacific Islander
  • Black
  • Latino
  • Native American

What will I gain?

An understanding of current topics related to a specific community and expansion of your network.

Previous topics and events include:

  • Creating supportive spaces
  • Mental health
  • Networking socials
  • Resilient voices – Empowering women of color
  • Self-promoting and branding
  • Tickets to events (Rip City Remix, Literary Arts, Comedy Shows, and other community events)

Who should attend?

Any professional who identifies as a part of the community around which the Professional Resource Group is organized. Participants can be part of multiple PRGs if they identify with those groups.

Co-Chairs

Each PRG has two co-chairs who are community leaders that volunteer their time to help plan and execute PRG events.

API PRG – Elaine Hsieh and Phil Chun
