Dr. Katy Ho

Vice President for Academic Affairs, Portland Community College

In her role as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Katy Ho provides overall strategic leadership for educational program development and planning for over 90 programs in career technical fields and university transfer disciplines offered over four comprehensive campuses and ten centers. She also provides strategic oversight to robust workforce and continuing education programs, academic support, innovation and technology, and effectiveness and planning. Katy also serves on the Board of Trustees for Portland State University, Oregon’s most diverse research university.

In 2017-2018, Katy was one of 39 community college leaders across the nation chosen as an Aspen Presidential Fellow – an executive applied leadership program aimed at cultivating transformational leadership in higher education. Previously she was the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Honolulu Community College where she oversaw the college’s academic, student services and academic support divisions.

Katy holds a doctorate degree in Community College Leadership and a master’s degree in Student Services Administration - both from Oregon State University. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communications and holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations.
