Catherine Van

Director of Communications

Catherine Van joined Partners in Diversity as the Director of Programs in October 2023. She is a marketing and communications professional with more than 10 years of experience. Prior to joining the team, Catherine served as the communications specialist for the Oregon Health Care Association and spent nearly a decade as an Emmy-nominated journalist, covering presidential elections, high-profile crimes, and community-focused stories across regions ranging from Nevada and California to Oregon and Washington. She currently serves as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) on the American Marketing Association Portland Chapter Board of Directors. She earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast electronic media studies and advertising from Gonzaga University. Outside of work, she is usually immersed in a DIY project or hunting for the next great waterfall.
