Community Engagement

Our mission is to provide diapers and diapering supplies to low-income families with young children, older adults, and individuals with disabilities living in Portland and the surrounding areas. We believe that everyone, regardless of economic status, should have access to essential diapering supplies in order to live healthy and productive lives, as well as ease financial strain during the pursuit of personal, educational, and professional success.

In 2022 the Diaper Bank provided over 791,118 diapers to families in the Portland Metro Area. We believe that our mission is best fulfilled when we embrace diversity as a value and a practice. Bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our communities. It is our aim that our leadership reflect these core values and the communities we serve.

We are currently seeking to bring on a new board member that can help us achieve this goal by:

– Informing organizational, program, and fundraising strategy

– Connecting the diaper bank with direct service organizations for potential partnership, marketing, and fundraising opportunities

– Helping with the development of inclusive and culturally responsive messaging for the various communities we serve

Our mission is about so much more than health and hygiene. By providing families with the diapers they need, we hope to remove barriers and expand opportunity for personal and professional growth and development.
