Community Engagement

Title: Community Advisory Board

Start Date: January 1, 2023

Organization: OPB

Location: virtual

We are currently recruiting for Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Community Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB helps OPB achieve its mission by spotlighting the diverse needs and interest of the communities served by OPB. Our CAB members are meant to represent many different communities – geographic, demographic, racial, cultural, etc. – and bring their perspective and those of their communities to advise OPB. We are looking for folks interested in serving on this volunteer board. OPB is actively working at becoming an anti-racist organization and this work is represented in everything we do now in our commitment to equity, inclusion and racial justice – https://www.opb.org/equity/. Meetings are held virtually three to four times a year so physical geography is not a barrier to anyone interested in serving. The CAB interest form can be found here and includes more detailed information including a link to the charter – https://forms.gle/EHR4T6Z1RDeK4NU47. We will be following up with those who complete the interest form this fall when we start interviews for a January 1 start date for new members.
