Community Engagement

Minds Matter Portland is an organization that works with intelligent, talented students from low-income households to help them achieve their goal of getting into excellent 4-year colleges. Just this year, 16 Portland area students completed the 3 year program. All are going to 4-year universities and as a group were awarded over $1M annually in financial aid. Our 2021 graduates are attending top-notch schools like Stanford, Cornell, Vanderbilt, and Tufts with minimal (if any) student loans. We are an all-volunteer run organization and we always need more help. We are currently looking for mentors, tutors and other administrative volunteers.
