Community Engagement

Volunteers are how CHAP has been able to deliver over 95,000 FREE healing art experiences over the past 15 years. Whether you can give us 2-4 hours one time as part of a group or a few hours a week for months, you’ll enjoy projects that support our work of bringing the healing power of art to children and their families facing medical challenges. Tasks might include assembling care packages for children in area hospitals and underserved clinics, sequining a painting, leading an Art Club, labeling envelopes, making swag for an event, or other studio related needs as assigned. I guarantee two things: one you have fun and the other, you leave feeling like you have made a difference. Volunteers age 13+ who are fully vaccinated are currently welcome at the studio. Studio hours are from 10am-4pm Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 11am-6:30pm on Wednesdays. Contact Faye at faye@chappdx.org or call 503-243-5294 to start the process.
