How do I sign up to be a volunteer? 

You can sign up to be a volunteer on our website here.

What is my role as a volunteer?

Volunteers have different duties such as helping with registration, helping attendees find rooms, and assisting with line management. Volunteers will be assigned duties prior to the event.

What time should I arrive?

Please plan extra time for the commute/traffic, parking, and checking in. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift time.

Where and to whom do I check in to?

Please check in at the registration table to Amy Vaught.

How long will I be volunteering?

Shifts will be 3 to 4 hours long.

Will I receive training before the event?

All volunteers will receive a basic orientation at check-in.

Do I get free tickets to the event?

Volunteers are welcome to attend the event before or after their shift.

What should I wear?  

The dress code is business casual; and we invite you to choose attire that feels both professional and authentic to you.

What happens if I need to cancel or arrive late to my shift?

If you need to cancel or will arrive late to your shift, please contact Amy Vaught at avaught@partnersindiversity.org.

Will there be parking available?

Parking is available at the Oregon Convention Center. Parking will be paid by Partners in Diversity.

How do I contact event organizers if I have questions during the event?

You will be given a list of contacts before the event.

What happens if there’s an emergency?

If you are unable to make your shift or have a personal emergency, please contact Amy Vaught at avaught@partnersindiversity.org as soon as possible.

Emergency plans for the event will be shared with registered volunteers before the event.
