I moved to the PNW to complete a goal that I made for myself while serving in the United States Navy serving at Bangor Submarine Base in Washington. Nature is a big part of my mental health and wellness. Fishing, hiking and camping are hobbies that I have. My children are in their 20's and starting their own lives and families. My wife and I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of our lives and took advantage of a wonderful opportunity to relocate to the PNW. The opportunity was to join Relay Resources as Director of Janitorial Operations which required relocation. Joining Relay has given me true purpose and fulfillment in my life and career. As a veteran, I am driven by service and the well-being of others. Being in a position to directly impact the lives of others in need in this way has been truly transformational for me.
One thing that I need from the community is continuing to foster the importance of Belonging.
I am interested in any habitat for humanity type of programs locally as well as any veteran support organizations that I can volunteer my time. I am heavily involved in the San Francisco Bay Area with several veteran organizations focused on housing, mental health and well-being for veterans, veteran spouses and children.
