Simone Brooks currently serves as the assistant city manager for Hillsboro, overseeing six city departments, and is dedicated to fostering inclusion and equity. A native Oregonian, she joined Hillsboro in 2018 after leading a minority-owned professional services firm in Portland. Her community involvement includes serving on the boards of various organizations, and she has a background in environmental consulting. Brooks holds a degree in marine and environmental science from Hampton University.
