We were thinking of moving back to my hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, but I wanted to retain access to the mountains and other outdoor spaces in the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West.
I really want to be in more professional spaces with Black folks. I miss being able to share ideas and network with folks. Portland seems to be a great incubation space for big ideas, and I've really enjoyed discovering how people of color are building and growing those spaces.
Beyond knowing and meeting folks in local and state government, I am really interested in meeting folks who work in government agencies, specifically education, city planning, and outdoor conservation.
