Scott Kleiner

Wieden+Kennedy, Global Culture and Operations Director

Scott Kleiner was raised in Denver, Colorado, and attended the University of Kansas. It was in his senior year at KU that Scott learned to love learning. His geology professor was such an intelligent and passionate teacher that he inspired Scott to move to the Pacific Northwest, where he attended the University of Oregon and earned a graduate degree in education in 1998.

After 7 years teaching science and technology courses, Scott leaped to a position in IT at Wieden+Kennedy. In his 19 years at W+K, he’s worked in departments ranging from Design to Interactive Production to Data Privacy. Most recently, he serves as the Global Culture and Operations Director, where he’s responsible for building and implementing operational systems to diffuse W+K culture, positive experiences and promote collaboration consistently across digital and physical spaces. He remains an advocate of education and strives to find ways to bolster W+K’s presence in the surrounding community.

Scott lives at home with his wife and two children, who teach him to learn every day. Currently, on his nightstand is Long Division by Kiese Laymon (for the second time).
